LEXINGTON, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Hume Road will be closed at Winchester Road over the weekend as part of the ongoing Hume Road realignment project. The closure begins Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. and is expected to reopen Monday, Nov. 24 at 6 a.m. During this time, drivers will not have access to Hume Road from Winchester Road.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes via Bryan Station using Royster Road, North Cleveland Road, and Briar Hill Road. Navigation apps such as Waze and Google Maps will reflect the closure and can assist in finding detours. Signs are also posted in the area to alert drivers about the closure.

Officials say the closure is necessary to safely continue construction and improve traffic flow along Hume Road once the project is complete.
