HERMANTOWN — Rep. Pete Stauber has remained silent on President Donald Trump’s comments that Democratic lawmakers should be arrested or even executed for making a video urging military members to refuse unlawful orders.

The Republican from Hermantown, a staunch supporter of Trump, did not respond to the News Tribune's request for comment on Friday asking whether he saw the comments as a threat and if he condemned them.

On his social media site Truth Social, Trump on Thursday shared a Washington Examiner article about six Democratic lawmakers — all veterans or former intelligence officials — releasing a video urging military members to disobey illegal orders.
