A man was taken to hospital Friday with serious injuries after he was hit by a moving vehicle at a garage in the Lachine borough.
The accident happened on Norman St., near Richer St., located near Highway 20.
The accident occurred around 1 p.m., and when an ambulance arrived on the scene, the man was considered to be in serious condition. However, by 4 p.m., police no longer feared for his life.
Police helped set up a perimeter, but the investigation into the cause of the accident was turned over to the CNESST, Quebec’s workplace safety board.
Montreal police Constable Jean-Pierre Brabant said there are no criminal charges expected to be laid in relation with the event.
A spokesperson with the CNESST did not return a request for information by publication time.
