U.S. Rep. Chris Deluzio’s offices in Allegheny and Beaver counties were the targets of bomb threats Friday afternoon, a day after President Donald Trump said the congressman and a few other Democratic veterans were “seditious” and their behavior was “punishable by death.”

Mr. Deluzio’s offices in Carnegie and Monaca were targeted, the congressman’s spokesperson said in a statement. Law enforcement responded and both the congressman and his staff were safe, the spokesperson said.

“Political violence and threats like this are unacceptable,” read the statement, which did not disclose other information about the threats.
