It's been a common refrain for years around West Sound: there's high school football talent here and some possess college aspirations, but players are often underappreciated and underexposed when compared to others around the state.

"Now we have an opportunity to prove it," Bainbridge head coach Dan Schoonmaker said when discussing the new West Sound Senior All-Star Classic, which will be held 7 p.m. on Dec. 5 at North Kitsap High School. "We get the best of the best out there."
