D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said Friday she's pleased with a federal judge's ruling that the Trump administration's deployment of the National Guard in the city is unlawful, and she wants the troops out of the District.

Bowser told News4 she hadn't yet read the entire ruling, but said it's a move "in the right direction."

“The briefing that I got this morning suggests to me that the questions we were concerned about — can the National Guard be used for policing? — seems to be answered by the ruling," Bowser said while at the opening of D.C.'s downtown holiday market.
