Snow blanketed parts of New Mexico, marking the first significant snowfall this season.
At least three to seven inches of snow was expected in areas with an elevation of above 8,100 feet on Thursday, Nov. 20, with more snow possible this weekend in the mountains, according to the National Weather Service in Albuquerque.
Photos captured Ski Apache in Alto, New Mexico (near Ruidoso), transformed into a winter wonderland, with flurries floating in the sky, snow-dusted pine trees, and roofs covered in white.
