An announcement regarding Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin’s future with the program will be announced on Saturday, Nov. 29, the day after the Rebels’ final regular season game against Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl on the Friday following Thanksgiving, Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter revealed in a statement on Friday.

Carter’s proclamation comes following a turbulent week for Kiffin, who LSU and Florida have courted for their open head coaching jobs. Sources told The Advocate on Monday that Kiffin was the focus of LSU’s coaching search, and members of Kiffin’s family toured Baton Rouge the same day. Kiffin’s family also reportedly visited Gainesville on Sunday.
