BATTLE CREEK – Flat Rock’s volleyball team will play for a state championship Saturday.
The Rams dropped their first set of the state tournament Friday, but came back strong to close out Fremont 25-20, 26-24, 23-25, 25-22 in the Division 2 state semifinals at Kellogg Arena.
The Rams will play Detroit County Day for the state title at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Sarah Giroux had another big effort for Flat Rock with 30 kills and 24 digs. Reagan Higdan delivered 15 kills and 16 digs.
Libero Maelie Fricke added 21 digs and Lily Klein 11 kills.
Zoe Ryan racked up 55 assists.
