Actor Liev Schreiber has been cleared for work after being briefly hospitalized in New York City over the weekend after experiencing a sudden, severe headache, his representatives confirmed Monday .
The 58-year-old “Ray Donovan” star sought medical attention Sunday on the advice of his physician, who urged him to head to the hospital immediately. Schreiber remained overnight for observation and a series of tests.
A spokesperson described the hospitalization as purely precautionary, emphasizing that the actor was never in acute distress.
“Out of an abundance of caution, Liev went into the hospital for testing and as of this afternoon, he has been cleared to return to work,” the statement said. No additional details about the underlying medical issue were released.
