TAWAS – Macomb L’Anse Creuse North didn’t trail Tawas very long Thursday night.
In fact, LCU was only in a 1-0 hole for a total of 1:45 of game clock at the Tawas Bay Ice Arena.
Behind a pair of second period goals and an insurance tally in the late stages of the third period, L’Anse Creuse Unified skated to a 3-1 non-league victory behind three unanswered goals after falling behind late in the first period.
The win marked the first victory of the young campaign for LCU.
Tawas opened the scoring on its home ice with a goal with just 1:14 left in the first period. Sean Bernard scored at close range following a pass from Kash Maxfield to put the Braves (0-2-0) up 1-0.
