PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) — Hundreds of people came together to address the problem of homelessness in southern Kentucky as officials say the issue continues to grow.

The conference was organized by Help The Homeless, which saw more than 60 people seek their services in the first week of November alone.

“Sometimes people are coming out of incarcerations. They could be struggling with health issues, job loss. Sometimes where they were living is not available anymore,” said Jessica Lee Luster with Help The Homeless.

More than 70 different organizations and 300 people were expected to take part in the conference.
