DULUTH, Ga. — A 20-year-old driver involved in a crash that left a passenger critically injured was arrested two days after fleeing from the scene in Duluth, according to police.

According to the Duluth Police Department, officers were called to the intersection of Buford Highway and Duluth Highway where they found a silver sedan pinned between a traffic signal pole and a utility pole on Nov. 16 at around 5:27 a.m.

Officers also located a passenger who they say was thrown from the vehicle and later taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said the passenger was not wearing a seatbelt. Police did not say how long the passenger was at the scene before they arrived.
