RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities say a man has turned himself in after reportedly entering a place of worship with a rifle earlier in the month.
The Richland County Sheriff's Department said deputies learned on Nov. 14 that a man had allegedly entered a local Mosque on Nov. 9 around 2:30 p.m. armed with an AR-15 rifle. Deputies said surveillance video showed the man enter the location and speak to children there, showing them the gun.
The sheriff's department added that the incident occurred during a time of worship but shared no additional details about the interaction between the man and the worshipers.
