CINCINNATI – Ahead of Friday's 5 p.m. ET deadline to tender contracts to unsigned players for 2026, the Reds agreed to terms with left-hander Sam Moll on a one-year contract.
Three players were also non-tendered by Cincinnati: Right-handers Carson Spiers and Roddery Muñoz and catcher Will Banfield.
Moll, who turns 34 on Jan. 3, was 1-0 with a 6.38 ERA in 23 appearances over multiple big league stints in 2025. He finished the season at Triple-A Louisville, where he was 0-3 with a 5.00 ERA in 28 games.
The season was a step back from previous seasons.
After being acquired by the Reds from the A's for pitching prospect Joe Boyle on July 31, 2023, Moll posted a 2.31 ERA in his first 73 games and 62 1/3 innings over 2023-24 with Cincinnati.
