BROSSARD – The Canadiens announced on Friday that forward Florian Xhekaj has been recalled from the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League.

This is a first call-up to the Canadiens for Xhekaj. The 21-year-old forward has suited up for 16 games with Laval so far in 2025-26, amassing four points (2G, 2A) and 44 penalty minutes.

A previous version of the article mistakenly indicated that forward Joshua Roy was loaned to the Rocket. He will remain with the Canadiens. Our apologies for the error.
