SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Feeding South Dakota is preparing for its annual Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway on Saturday, Nov 22, offering families a full holiday meal through a drive-thru distribution at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds and Knife River.

The event begins at 8 a.m., and families will line up at the fairgrounds before being guided across the street to the Knife River building, where the distribution takes place indoors.

“And then right at 8 am, we’ll get started and folks will be guided across the street to Knife River, where the distribution actually takes place inside, which is a really wonderful partnership that we have with Knife River so that it makes it a little bit warmer on a cold morning,” said Megan Kjose, Feeding South Dakota’s chief development officer. “Once the
