PUYALLUP — Skyview High’s girls soccer team didn’t reach this stage of the postseason by accident. Their success is the result of a steady building process that took a major leap forward in 2025, players say. It culminated in a trip to Friday’s Class 4A state semifinals for only the second in program history.
Despite a 2-1 loss to Tahoma on Friday at Sparks Stadium, the Storm (15-3-4) can finish with its highest state placing in Saturday’s 9 a.m. third/fourth-place match. Skyview’s only girls soccer state trophy came in 2010 when it placed fourth in Class 4A.
The Storm know it’s a quick and early-morning turnaround Saturday, but they’re already focused on how it wants to end its season.
