The race for mayor of Jersey City is about to get very busy.
Former Gov. Jim McGreevey and Jersey City Councilman James Solomon have agreed to four debates in five days, including three in a 24-hour timespan, according to their campaigns.
For comparison, Gov.-elect Mikie Sherrill and her defeated opponent, Jack Ciatterelli, debated twice in the five months after the primary elections in June.
Jersey City is holding a runoff election for mayor Dec. 2 between Solomon, the top vote-getter in the Nov. 4 general election, and second-place finisher McGreevey.
Two debates are on Friday. The first is being taped at 12:30 p.m. for broadcast Sunday on WCBS-TV’s “The Point with Marcia Kramer,” hosted by the longtime political correspondent.
