PHOENIX — Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a burglary earlier this month, according to the Tempe Police Department.

One was a 16-year-old accused of ramming a stolen red Kia into the entrance of Up in Smoke, a Tempe smoke shop near Central Avenue and Baseline Road on Nov. 2, police said.

Surveillance footage showed the suspect getting out of the car and loading it with stolen vape products. The 16-year-old then jumped into a second stolen car, a black Kia parked in the shop’s lot and driven by one of two other alleged co-conspirators, police said.

The burglary, which took place around 3 a.m., caused around $30,000 in losses, including stolen merchandise as well as extensive damage from the crash.
