O’FALLON, IL. (First Alert 4) -City Fest in O’Fallon, Illinois will no longer happen moving forward, event organizers said Friday.

The decision comes after the group said its committee met with the city and police department to review issues with the event this past year.

First Alert 4 previously reported 17 minors were arrested over the span of two days at the event in August. Those minors were from Belleville, O’Fallon, East St. Louis and Cahokia Heights, ranging in age from 12 to 18 years old.

Police told First Alert 4 the arrests came after multiple fights, forcing officers to implement crowd control measures. One of the fights also involved gunshots.
