The Class A high school football state tournament quarterfinal round game in Buffalo is between a past state semifinalist and a first-time section champion.

Brighton (9-2) advanced to the Class A state semifinals last season, after winning a Section V title for the first time in team history.

The Buffalo McKinley Macks (9-2), a team in the Buffalo City School District, are where the Brighton Bruins were last fall. McKinley became a first-time Section VI champion last week.

The winner of this playoff game Nov. 21 advances to the state semifinals next weekend.
