Three lives were lost on Hamilton roads over a span of a week.

The circumstances of each collision differed, with the crashes happening at different times and locations of the city. The crashes have no connections — but for the fact that all three involved pedestrians, trying to cross a road when they were fatally injured.

The three deaths doubled the total number of pedestrian deaths so far this year to six, leading to calls for an increased focus on the safety of vulnerable road users and more accountability for bad behaviour on the roads.
