LOS ANGELES — Although he's only 12 years old, Joshua Elias-Garcia has already helped create a short, animated film.

The LA-based student is part of Young Storytellers, a local nonprofit that works with young people in SoCal to help them find their creative side. Elias-Garcia’s older sister had participated in the program, and that motivated him to get involved and be part of the short-filmmaking process.
