Hoggard football's perfect season isn't slowing down anytime soon.

The top-seeded Vikings (12-0) handled their toughest challenge of 2025 with ease as Hoggard cruised past fifth-seeded Rolesville 40-14 in Round 3 of the NCHSAA 8A state playoffs.

Right from the start, there was no confusion about what separated the two squads. One word: Turnovers.

Hoggard forced six turnovers, including three interceptions and a pair of scoop-and-score touchdowns from defensive back Ja'Quay Locke and Mohammed Ismail. Each of the Vikings' 24 first-half points came off turnovers, a mark players like Locke say they're built for.

The Vikings improved to 12-0 with the win, keeping their perfect season alive in impressive fashion. The team has now outscored postseason opponents 84-14.
