GREENSBORO — After years of top seeds, close calls and postseason heartbreak, Hoggard boys soccer finally claimed the moment that had eluded every team before it.
The Vikings did what no previous Hoggard squad had done, securing a 2-0 win over West Forsyt h on Thursday, Nov. 20 to capture the school's first boys soccer state title. The mission was simple: Finish the job.
"It still hasn't really hit me yet," senior Adler Sauer said after the win. "Once we get on the bus, the real feelings of winning a state championship will start to hit."
