To be the best, you’ve got to beat the best, as they say — WOOO! — and Michigan women's basketball will get its shot tonight in Connecticut as they meet No. 1 UConn in the Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase on Friday, Nov. 21.

The unbeaten No. 9 Wolverines (who are No. 6 in the Associated Press poll) are coming off a pair of big wins, knocking off No. 18 Notre Dame on Saturday at Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit and then demolishing Binghamton by 70 — yes, really: 120-50 — back in Ann Arbor on Tuesday.

The defending-champ Huskies will present a slightly tougher challenge, as they’ve pounded two Power Four (Florida State and Ohio State) squads and a mid-major (Loyola Chicago) by an average of 38.7 points at their home arena in Storrs.
