Prince William and Princess Catherine announced their engagement in November 2010, much to the delight of royal fans across the globe who had been waiting years for such an announcement. The Prince and Princess of Wales had a long relationship before the big milestone , having started dating in 2002 after meeting at St Andrew’s University in Scotland.

While they may have had a very small break during this time, the couple were in a happy and stable relationship, which made headlines. It also meant that Catherine was frequently followed by paparazzi, even when leaving her London flat for a day at work.

However, this did not seem to last long, with one insider revealing that Catherine experienced a major change after it was announced that she was engaged to Prince William.
