MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A father and daughter were injured Friday afternoon in a house explosion on Hart Road, according to Geauga County Sheriff Scott Hildenbrand.

Hildenbrand said the blast left both victims with significant injuries. One was taken for treatment by ambulance, while the other was flown by Metro Life Flight to MetroHealth in Cleveland.

Authorities have not released their names or ages, and the cause of the explosion remains under investigation. The condition of the home and whether anyone else was inside were not immediately known.

First responders remained on scene late Friday afternoon.
