Cosmetics brand seeks $1.94M in damages from Kim Soo Hyun.

A cosmetic company in South Korea has stepped up its claims for damages against actor Kim Soo-hyun, months after it cancelled its advertising contract with him. During the court hearing on November 21, the cosmetics brand claimed that it had terminated its contract with the actor because of his dating scandal with the late actress Kim Sae Ron.

“We are unable to fulfill the contract because model Kim Soo-hyun violated the ‘maintaining dignity’ clause," the company said and pointed out that even though the actor initially denied his relationship with Kim Sae-ron, he later changed his stance. The brand then increased the claims of its damages from 500 million won to 2.86 billion won, which is around $1.94 million.
