The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a combination of dry periods, isolated cold-wave pockets, and the early stirrings of the northeast monsoon over the southern peninsula as India moves into the late November weather pattern.

North India is experiencing a steady decline in temperature and rapid weather changes. Many areas, including Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana, are experiencing sudden shifts in climate as the fourth week of November approaches.

A cold-wave alert has been issued for Delhi-NCR and several parts of North India. Thick fog has already begun to appear in many areas of Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR's air quality remains in the extremely hazardous range. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was 374 as of 6 AM.
