Wallabies star Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii has been short-listed for World Rugby's men's breakthrough player of the year following his code switch from rugby league.

Currently in Paris preparing for Australia's Test against France on Sunday morning (AEDT), Suaalii is one of four players nominated for the award, which will be announced on November 22.

The 22-year-old has been included alongside New Zealand's Fabian Holland, South Africa's Ethan Hooker, and England's Henry Pollock, with the award "recognising emerging talents who have made a significant impact on the international stage in 2025".

Suaalii credited his Wallabies teammates for his nomination.
