The Windsor Spitfires have not allowed things to get out of hand this season.
The Spitfires have lost back-to-back games just twice in 23 games this season and neither instance featured back-to-back losses in regulation.
The No. 6-ranked team in the CHL, Windsor got back into the win column for the first time in three games on Friday with a 4-1 win over the Saginaw Spirit at the WFCU Centre.
“It’s just the group we are as a team,” said Spitfires’ defenceman Anthony Cristoforo, who had two assists. “We hate losing and we’re a pretty confident group.
“We understand we’re a good team, but we also learned if we’re not playing our best that any team can beat us. If we bring it every night, we can win against every team. If we don’t, it’s a tough league. The OHL’s a good league.”
