A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Saturday at 3:05 a.m. for black ice until 8 a.m. for Northern St. Lawrence, Northern Franklin, Eastern Clinton, Southeastern St. Lawrence, Southern Franklin, Western Clinton, Western Essex, Eastern Essex and Southwestern St. Lawrence.

"Across northern New York early this morning, wet roads combined with temperatures falling below freezing may result in some patchy black ice this morning. Motorists and pedestrians should exercise caution as paved surfaces that appear wet may, in fact, be icy," states the weather service.

The weather service states, "Producing hazardous travel conditions. Exercise caution."
