A teenager who raped and throttled a 16-year-old girl in her bedroom has been locked up.

Jamie George 'pestered' the schoolgirl for sex even though she had made it clear she did not want to sleep with him.

The 18-year-old strangled his victim before claiming he was 'play fighting' and then raping her.

Leicester Crown Court heard George met the girl at a Halloween party in Nottingham.

After they exchanged messages on Snapchat, she agreed he could visit her at her home in Leicester.

Both George and his victim were 16 at the time.
