Dramatic scenes as car flips onto roof in busy Bristol street View 3 Images
It was a topsy-turvy start to the day for one driver when his car ended up on its roof on a busy Bristol street.
Police were called after the black Toyota hit a "notorious" pedestrian island, at a zebra crossing, outside a row of shops in Henleaze Road.
The motorist, described by witnesses as a man aged in his 30s or 40s, was said to be unharmed, and able to make calls from the side of the road following the crash, at about 6.30am today (November 22).
The car, however, was severely damaged, with its contents spilled over the carriageway.
