Welsh Government staff received hundreds of pounds worth of gifts over the last five years, a freedom of information (FOI) request has revealed. Sports tickets, hampers, chocolates, flowers, and vouchers were among the list of items accepted by civil servants.
Gifts received ranged from tickets to Six Nations matches valued at £300 each to two boxes of Christmas chocolates for £90. Some staff attended the England v New Zealand cricket match in September 2023 valued at £1,080.
The Welsh Government does not publish its register of gifts accepted by civil servants but BBC Wales have reported on the register obtained through an FOI.
