Police are actively searching for a dog owner who fled the scene after her pet bit a woman in Telford. The incident occurred on Friday, November 21, at approximately 2.30pm on Warrensway in Woodside. Authorities have expressed concern that the dog may pose a risk to the public and are appealing for information to help identify the owner. The victim was attacked by an Alsatian that was on a lead while the owner was also walking a second Alsatian, which was off the lead. Following the attack, ambulance crews arrived to treat the woman, who was subsequently taken to hospital for further care. West Mercia Police released a statement detailing the incident. "Officers are appealing for information after a woman was bitten by a dog in Telford yesterday. An ambulance was called at around 2.30pm after the woman who was walking along Warrensway in Woodside was attacked by an Alsatian. She is being treated in hospital for her injuries," the statement read. The police noted that the owner, who had two Alsatians, left the scene without being identified. Inspector Gavin Williams highlighted the potential danger posed by the dog. He stated, "We are keen to identify the owner, as we believe the dog may pose a further danger to the public. We would like to hear from anyone in the area, anyone who may have doorbell video footage that could help with our enquiries, or local dog walkers who may be aware of someone with two Alsatians."
