NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull marked a major milestone on Monday with the ribbon cutting of its newly renovated hemodialysis unit.
The redesigned space spans roughly 3,500-square-feet and was built to improve both comfort and clinical efficiency. The suite now features a fully reconfigured layout to support patient flow, four dedicated hemodialysis bays, expanded utility and equipment rooms, upgraded lighting and infrastructure, enhanced HVAC and water treatment systems for better reliability and safety.
"This new area in addition to being a life sustaining treatment area, is also a place where our patients can receive compassionate, high-quality care in a setting that truly supports their needs," said Althea Senior-Morris, chief nursing officer at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull.
