A Wayne County man recently won $1 million on a Michigan Lottery ticket that someone else decided not to buy.

After another person passed on the Blazing Suits instant ticket, it was set on counter at Fawaz Petroleum LLC, located at 19245 Schoolcraft in Detroit. A 33-year-old Wayne County man saw it and decided to purchase it, according to the Michigan Lottery .

The man, who chose to remain anonymous, paid $10 for the ticket and couldn't believe it when he saw it was a $1 million winner.

"I never would have thought I’d win such a large lottery prize, so it’s truly a blessing," the man told the Michigan Lottery.

He recently claimed his prize and opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment of about $693,000 instead of annuity payments for the full amount. More: Michigan woman's late-n
