Amid allegation over air pollution data in the National Capital Region of Delhi not reflecting the severity due to ‘data’ management, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has revised some measures, such as allowing work from home under the current standards. If implemented by both the Centre and States, these steps may help ease some pollution immediately, experts said.
The CAQM in NCR has revised the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) for the entire NCR on November 21. As a result, some measures that were earlier listed under Stage IV have been shifted under the Stage III guidelines and similarly, some were earlier under Stage III have been moved as measures under Stage II.
