KALISPELL — The third time was the charm for the Glacier Wolfpack.

After consecutive losses in the Class AA football state championship game, Glacier finally broke through on Friday night against Billings West.

Playing at home in Kalispell, after being on the road for the past two state title games, the Wolfpack scored 16 unanswered points to notch a 16-3 win, clinching the school’s first state football championship since 2015.

“It was 365 days ago that this team decided they were going to get back here (to the state championship game),” Glacier head coach Grady Bennett said. “They knew they needed it here in Kalispell. They set to work and they did it.

“I couldn’t be prouder of a group of young men.”
