LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo police arrested an 18-year-old man early Saturday, Nov. 22, after shots were fired in south Laredo.
At around 2:30 a.m., shots fired were reported near Lomas and Ejido. Officers searched the area and found casings by 4400 Vientos Road.
An LPD patrol officer spotted a black car by 600 Buckeye in the Riverhill area that matched a possible suspect vehicle description. The person in the car was found with an AR-style rifle and several empty boxes of ammunition.
Officers said the barrel of the weapon was allegedly still hot. According to officers, the casings at the original location matched the weapon.
18-year-old Jose Roberto Guerra was arrested and charged with discharging a weapon within a municipality.
