Much of B.C.’s South Coast is for a soaking this weekend, with up to 70 millimetres expected in the northern sections of Metro Vancouver and up to 100 mm on Vancouver Island.

Rainfall warnings are in effect for West Vancouver, North Vancouver, the Tri-Cities area, Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge, and for Howe Sound, including the Sea to Sky Highway from Squamish to Whistler.

Environment and Climate Change Canada has also issued a rainfall warning for West Vancouver Island, north of Tofino, where 80 mm to 100 mm of rain is possible.
