MOBILE, AL — Southern Miss football has a chance to win the Sun Belt West Division today.

The Golden Eagles (7-3, 5-1 Sun Belt Conference) are playing at South Alabama (3-7, 2-4) on Nov. 22 (2:30 p.m.., ESPN+). A win coupled with a Troy loss to Georgia State would clinch the division for the Golden Eagles, regardless of what happens in Week 14.

All eyes will be on the status of Southern Miss quarterback Braylon Braxton, who didn't play against Texas State on Nov. 15 because of a knee injury. Landry Lyddy started in Braxton's place as Southern Miss lost 41-14 at M. M. Roberts Stadium. Braxton was listed as questionable on the initial injury report.
