We are a group of seniors at Brainerd High School, representing a wide array of disciplines and interests. When we received the recent survey asking for input on funding priorities, we were shocked by the remarkably poor integrity of the survey. Not only did the survey seem to suggest that the district is unable to maintain multiple priorities, but we believe the implication that those placed last would receive less attention poses a dangerous threat to the school district.

In utilizing ranking to assign priorities, the survey ignores the fact that a school district is more than capable of addressing multiple priorities.
