Baltimore, MD – A reported explosive device discovered Thursday at Fort McHenry prompted a swift and coordinated response from local and federal agencies, ending safely after the item was removed for further investigation.
Members of the Baltimore Police Department’s Hazardous Device Team responded to the historic site following reports of a potential explosive. The team worked in close coordination with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and U.S. Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technicians to secure the area and evaluate the threat.
