DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings’ chances looked bleak midway through the third period Saturday, trailing by two goals.
But a spirited comeback capped by Alex DeBrincat’s goal at 1:50 overtime lifted them to a 4-3 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets at Little Caesars Arena.
The Red Wings are 13-8-1 while the Blue Jackets dropped to 11-8-3.
Cam Talbot made 30 saves to improve to 9-2-0.
DeBrincat’s goal was his 10th the season and 13th OT tally of his career.
Chiarot and Seider scored 3:02 apart midway through the third period to tie it at 3-3.
Chiarot fired in a loose puck at 10:23 for his second of the season. Seider scored two seconds after a power play expired and moments after Talbot stopped Sean Monahan on a shorthanded breakaway after Axel Sandin-Pellikka stumbled in the offen
