EDDIE HOWE is confident Lewis Hall did not suffer a major issue in the second half of Newcastle United ’s 2-1 win over Manchester City, but admits he is still waiting for an update on the injury that kept Kieran Trippier out of the game.
Hall performed superbly as he returned to Newcastle’s starting line-up for the first time since September, but the left-back was unable to complete the game as he was forced off in the 77th minute.
He was showing signs of fatigue prior to his departure, with Howe playing down any fears over the defender’s wellbeing ahead of a busy week that will see Newcastle head to France to face Marseille in the Champions League before taking on Everton on Merseyside.
