The Dallas Cowboys have made another notable roster move on the defensive side of the ball, waiving former first-round pick Kaiir Elam ahead of Sunday’s home game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Cowboys waived Kaiir Elam and promoted running back Malik Davis from the practice squad to the main roster. The Cowboys host Philadelphia at 4:25 p.m. EST tomorrow.
Dallas made two notable trades at the deadline to fix their defense, acquiring All-Pro defensive tackle Quinnen Williams from the New York Jets and veteran linebacker Logan Wilson from the Cincinnati Bengals.
A former first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills (23rd overall) in 2022, Elam played 10 games for the Cowboys before getting waived. He has two interceptions, six pass breakups and 81 combined
